一 | (ECNS) -- Aidian Port in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region reopened Tuesday, resuming customs clearance services after flood damage forced a temporary suspension. The port had closed following heavy flooding last Sunday. Once power was restored, the Aidian Entry Exit Border Inspection Station prepared for rapid clearance. Wang Hongfei, head of Guangxi Ningming Jinming International Trade Development Co., Ltd., said the company worked with border inspection, customs and local commerce authorities to launch emergency clearance overnight Monday. The operation cleared backlogged vehicles and helped traders avert nearly 200-million-yuan ($29.5 million) worth of cargo losses. Trucks departed from the zero kilometer point at the port Tuesday morning, signaling a return to normal operations. （By Helen Mo & intern Xu Wenda）。 구미시청/뉴시스 경북 구미시가 지난 12일 단수(斷水) 사고를 겪은 지역 거주자들에 대해 8월 한 달 수도 요금을 일부 감면해주기로 했다.구미시는 형곡동·송정동 등에 거주하는 1만6000여 세대를 대상으로 9월에 고지될 8월 수도 요금을 20% 감면한다고 26일 밝혔다. 앞서 지난 12일 송정동에서 노후 송수관로 이음부에 누수가 발생해 수돗물 공급이 장시간 중단됐다. 당시 주민들은 행정복지센터 등에서 생수 세트를 배급받아 쓰는 등 불편을 겪어야 했다.구미시는 단수 피해를 본 1만6000여 세대를 대상으로 생활 피해 등을 종합적으로 검토해 수도 요금 20%를 감면하기로 했다. 수도 요금 감면은 주민들이 별도로 신청하는 절차 없이 전산 시스템으로 일괄 처리돼 9월 고지분에 자동 반영될 예정이다.김장호 구미시장은 “예기치 못한 송수관로 누수와 장시간 단수로 생활에 불편을 겪은 시민들의 부담을 조금이나마 덜기 위해 수도 요금을 일부 감면한다”며 “앞으로 노후 수도 시설 점검과 관리를 강화해 안정적인 수돗물 공급에 최선을 다하겠다”고 했다.。
